Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Incorporating sophisticated 'Text-to Speech' software; the Supertooth 3 represents the very latest in Bluetooth sun-visor speakerphone technology. Its outstanding audio quality is a result of advanced Digital Signal Processing software to eliminate noise and achieve echo cancellation, regardless of whether the car is stationary or travelling at high speed. It also adjusts sound levels to compensate for loud engine noise or external noise created when the windows are wound down. The device requires no installation and is quickly and easily installed and connected to your cell phone. Simply slide the metal clip onto your sun-visor and attach the Supertooth 3 via the magnets on the rear of the device. The voice prompts provide guidance and assistance to help pair the device and upload your cell phone's address book. When a call is received, the Supertooth 3 announces the incoming caller's name or number. Simply say 'OK' to accept the call. There is no need to take your hands off the wheel or remove your eyes from the road, making the Supertooth 3 a safer and legal alternative to driving while on the phone. Choice of 6 languages (British English, American English, French, Italian, Spanish and German) DSP Noise Cancellation/Echo Cancellation Full Duplex, high performance speaker Automatic connection and reconnection with notification Digital Volume Control Can also be charged directly from a PC via USB Cable (not included) Fix to the sun-visor via a two sided magnetic clip - no installation costs Supports voice dial activation, redial and call reject Pairs with up to 8 Bluetooth devices Includes 1 x AC Travel Charger Includes 1 x Car Charger BlueAnt 2 Year Replacement Warranty

4 out of 5 stars It Does Work as long as you know how to work it!   January 5, 2009
D. Whitaker (CT)
Ok I read all the reviews here before deciding to buy it for my girlfriend and myself. It did not upload our phonebooks automatically but that is becuase our phones DO NOT SUPPORT AUTOMATIC UPLOAD, so we simply had to do it manually from our phones, follow the instructions in the manual and no problems.
It does annouce who is calling if you have the name correct in your phone book and upload it CORRECTLY!
When my girlfriend and I first tried talking to each other there was this huge echo, but only for her. It ended up being her phone had a setting that turned on the speaker phone when it went into handsfree mode, she turned off this setting, and bam , problem solved. There is hardly ever an echo, only once in a great while but even when there is it is barely noticable and the sound is still loud and I have no problem hearing her.

My voice dialing works just fine and my girlfriend has more trouble with it than I do,that is because HER PHONE does not have as good of a voice dialing capabilities as mine does. We both tried our voice dialing without the supertooth and with and had the same results.

The only thing that sometimes does not work is the answer call feature. It does not always work, so I just simply hit the green button once.

This product is great and works like it says except for some problems with the voice answering, most problems people have with this are that the
problem is actually with their PHONE but they just say it is with the supertooth.

Good hands free set for talking, but the voice recognition for dialing just doesn't work.

5 out of 5 stars Dont settle for less   December 31, 2008
Curt Casey (Kansas USA)
I did alot of research on bluetooth speaker sets and i can honestly say this unit does everything as advertised. It is very easy to set up and use. the unit goes to standby when not connected and therefore i only have to charge it once every one to two weeks (i usually just charge overnight once a week and i have never had to worry). I love the fact this this unit reads the caller i.d. and gives me the name from my phone book (phone number is the default). I have not had one person say they could not understand my while using this device. The speaker is loud and clear and the fact it uses my voice prompts makes this truly handsfree. If you spend any time behind the wheel, this is the product you want. Oh, and you dont have to stick anything in your ear!

1 out of 5 stars Toothless wounder   December 29, 2008
Howard L. Dunlap (Owings, Md.)
There's not a lot to say about this. The sound is horible, and it would not download my phonebook. Everone I called complained that I sounded hollow. Don't buy this! Atleast the cheap feeling jabra had a good speaker.

Very impressive. Easy to program, easy to use, most of the time reception is very clear. I am very happy with the product and I will recommend it to friends.
