I purchased two sets, whose main use is to talk to my wife
on the back of the bike. Installation was straightforward, and they worked as advertised. Have not used the bluetooth/cel phone part. Only minor quibble is that you only have one speaker, but this is offset by having less wires running around inside your helment. The fact that the speaker mike unit is separate from the battery/control unit, gives a lot more flexabilty in the installation. In short, the unit does what it said it would. It should work well bike to bike too.

We purchased two BlueAnt Interphone Headsets. We installed them in our full face helmets and established the link/network in 15 minutes. So far, we have used them for rider to passenger communications and they work great. We just returned from a nine hundred mile (four day) tour and the headsets worked very well. The low battery signal sounded after about five hours of connect/talk time which seemed to be very compatible with the amount of time we wanted to be connected (we turned the units off during stops). A couple of potential issues that should be considered are: 1)these are point to point devices which support communications between two people only. We have not found a motorcycle compatible Bluetooth CB radio for communication with larger groups. 2)The pin interface with the headset seems to be a bit delicate and I expect problems with it in the future -- none yet.

My brother and I bought a pair of these so we could intercom on rides. They work very well for this purpose. we have not been on very long rides (only 1-2 hours) so I haven't yet reached the limits of battery life. The noise canceling is quite amazing. I have talked with people on the phone and they have no idea I am riding a motorcycle.
Mounting to my helmet was easy. I was a bit worried about extra noise or buffeting with it on there, but I can't tell any difference from before.
The only problem I have is that the speaker never quite gets loud enough for me. I can hear, but it's a bit of a strain at speed.
Overall, this is an excellent value for the price. And it's very nice to be wireless.

I've had my BlueAnt for about 6 months, and I noticed the mic was hanging down instead of straight out. Pulling the wind cover off, I found the mic was dangling by it's wires. The "shock system" holding the mic onto the boom is a pair of soft rubber rings at 90 degrees to the boom; these rings had fatigued, and split at the mount point. I called support, and they told me that the boom wasn't covered; and they had never heard of this happening before. Funny thing is, they just happen to sell a replacement boom kit... So, bottom line: Unit works fairly well, but don't count on the warranty to cover much.

After doing a lot of research I decided to go with the BlueAnt Interphone and I love it. The sound is great, there is no wind noise, and the buttons are easy to find and press. The Scala Rider buttons are a pain in the butt. The full duplex talking, two up, is just like a phone call on a wireless headset. Switching between intercom and phone is a snap. Taking and making calls couldn't be simpler. Another big plus is the small size! I could not fit my helmet in my panniers with a chatterbox mounted to it. They're just too bulky. And last, but not least, I purchased TWO of these for $100 less than the cost of ONE Bluetooth Chatterbox. They're also about $50 less than a Scala Rider. In my opinion, the Interphone blows Scala Rider and Chatterbox out of the water.
