Comfortable but short range January 31, 2010 Jason McCammon (California, USA) I suppose i am used to electronics with a bit longer of an effective range than just a few feet. This headset has problems with any barrier or any kind, holding the phone produces static, setting down in a cupholder produces constant static, your pocket is even worse. Go for this if you have a big thing for cheap style or something, but it is definitely not worth it if you actually want to use a headset for its intended purpose of talking on a phone clearly and audibly.
GOOD PRODUCT, EXCELLENT PRICE December 3, 2009 Carlos M. (Mexico) I'm very satisfied with this product. Don't believe bad reviews. The price and the quality are excellent.
Cons outweigh the Pros November 19, 2009 W. Lanehart (New Jersey) Pros: Fits firmly in either ear. Looks good. Holds charge for a long time.
Cons: Amplifies surrounding noise (even air flow from vents)! Slow to connect when answering a call. Connection with handset fades in and out on any call at anytime in any location.
I would never recommend this product to anyone. 2-stars.
best bluetooth bang for the buck! November 5, 2009 Matthew Brown (In my truck, USA) Plantronics makes the best bluetooth headsets you can get for the cost. No contest. I have made the mistake of purchasing Jawbone, Sennheiser, BlueParrot, Motorolla, Blue Trek, and god only knows which others. Plantronics is the only brand I've purchased more than 1 of. While many of these brands cost well over 4 to 5 times what this one does, none of them can compare on battery life, consistency of connection, or all around value. This headset does take some getting used to as the rubber boot on it slightly penetrates your ear, but after a few days you will forget you are wearing it. The only headset I've found that was easier to hear was the sennheiser, but it likes to stop communicating with your phone til you re-pair it and costs about 6 times what this does.
Background noise suppression is stereotypical, if there's noise, the person on the other end will most likely hear some translation of it. The mic is not as sensitive as those found in the Jawbone, so doing something productive like washing dishes won't blow out the eardrum of whoever you are speaking with, but they will hear some level of noise(the Jawbone is brutally painful for that!). I think this is the 5th or maybe 6th plantronics I've bought, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
On a side note, the battery, under constant daily use, should last you approximately 500 charges, or 1.5 years avg. This is typical for any and all bluetooth headsets. At a cost of less than $20, that means this unit will cost you barely $1 per month, as opposed to $10-15 per month for some of the designer headsets!
just ok October 26, 2009 Jami (Cincinnati OH) I guess you get what you pay for. This is just ok. People say it sounds like I am in a wind tunnel when i am in the car even if i have all the windows shut.
