Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset January 6, 2009 Gloria Perez-forte (San Jose, Ca) My husband had bought me a Samsung WEP 200 bluetooth last year for Christmas. From the very first day it was the worst bluetooth I have ever had. The plastic over the ear piece broke every time it was charged. All together there must have been 12 plastic ear hooks that broke on me. Out of frustration I started reasearching for a new bluetooth. Lo and behold the best review for my use was the Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset. What a great fit, great sound, and comfy fit over my ear. You will not be disappointed if you purchase the Plantronic Voyager. Just don't buy the Samsung bluetooth, unless you enjoy pulling your hair out. Sincerely, Gloria Perez-Forte
Great product January 6, 2009 O. Allen (USA) This is a great device, the price was right not too expensive and is rated as one of the best. As of this review it is paired with a Motorola V195 handset (very durable as well). Always wanted a blue tooth device so I can drive with both hands. Pros: -Battery life is awesome (had a 1st generation Jabra Blue tooth earpiece that never crossed the 2 hr mark). I believed I have used this up to 3 hours. Usually leave in the car unpaired when I get to work and re-pair on the drive home. It has never died on me. -Audio quality is good. Hardly any static unless I am going through a part of town with a lot of interference and there is hardly any with the routes I drive (Bham-AL) -Comfort level is also awesome. Took a little bit of getting used to but after a while, you forget you have it on. It is just as comfortable as the Jabra earpiece, but lighter in my opinion. Watch out though, you don't want to get all sweaty with it on you. Cons: This might not be much of a con, and it might depend on the cell phone you have it paired with. When I walk out of range from ear piece, it would disconnect (expected) but when I come back in range it would not automatically pair up again (The Jabra earpiece did this). Maybe there is a way to set this up; I never read the manual ;) Also, when I put the earpiece on charge a home, it would not disconnect from the cell phone (again maybe a setting). Other: Apart from the above mentioned cannot complain about the device. It is serving me well.
Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset January 6, 2009 Abhishek Chaturvedi (USA) I was excited to get the bluetooth headset but the moment I opened the box I was kinda dissapointed because it looked like duplicate packing.I wanted to send the product back. But I thought of using it once before returning it. But the headset works beautifully. The battary backup is amazing. I would recommand this product to everyone. Con- The noise cancelling feature is not very good.
Works great. January 6, 2009 Scott W. Walker Jr. Works great. The range between the headset and the phone is great, def. 33ft. Only problem is, when the battery is low there is a crackling noise you can hear, but the person on the other end does not hear it.
plantronics voyager 520 January 6, 2009 James Stoen (Phoenix, AZ) This is a good product. I have used plantronics in the past and have been impressed. It is smaller and lighter than previous models i have owned and fits great. The ear piece doesn't go all the way into the ear canal so it is more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The only negative is the occasional feedback type noise but that is tolerable. Also, it pics up sound extremely well which, in some cases, isn't great. If I'm moving a plastic bag the person on the other end of the line hears an extremely loud crackling noise... though it doesn't bother me.
