HATE this phone!August 31, 2010 LilKampa I've owned this phone for nearly three months and, over that time, have spent well over three and a half hours on with T-Mobile, BlackBerry, and RIM customer service. (NONE of my issues were successfully resolved by these "experts.") The operating system has serious defects, the desktop software is next to useless, and the device itself doesn't work as it should.
It's a lovely, sleek-looking little device, but what a tremendous disappointment. I will never, ever buy another BlackBerry.
So far so goodAugust 15, 2010 Samuel Ibok(9JA) I bought 2sets.It arrived early enough as usual. All the contents were accounted for and i am very happy with my purchase.I have read about the 'P' key falling off after 3weeks...i haven't yet gotten to that point but will definitely update my post if anything negative crops up. I highly recommend updating the device software before use!

I'll keep this short and sweet. I've had my Bold for 2 weeks now and it's terrible. This phone is supposed to be best in class for email. It does everything worse than an iPhone or Droid INCLUDING email and SMS. My iPhone receives emails and texts faster and more reliably than the BBerry and a friend's droid does the same for Verizon. I've been on the phone with tech support several times. Their go-to solution? Remove the battery and hard restart the phone. I'm of the opinion that a brand new $500 phone shouldn't need a band-aid to work as advertised.
Avoid the Bold like the plague. You've been warned.

The Bold 9700 is a great product. It's more compact that the Bold 9000 that I used to own. I much prefer the touch-sensitive track pad compared to the trackball too. Besides those two main factors the functions and battery life are basically the same between the two.
The Keyboard button fell offJuly 24, 2010 Ferdinand I used it for 3 weeks, and the p button just fell off, I never drop the phone, no scratch at all.
If you google the web, it turns out lots of people have the same problem with bold 9700.
